A Massive Makeup Company Is Now Closing A Major Location

A massive makeup company is now closing a major location, leaving product enthusiasts devastated with the abrupt announcement.

An Ulta is set to close this Saturday in East Bay Bridge Center, San Francisco, California.

News of the store’s closure came with little fanfare as shoppers only found out because of a single sheet of paper, reports The US Sun.

Posted on the front doors sat a sign that read: “We’re closing this location on Saturday, May 4.”

During its final days, the store is having sales of up to 90% off.

Residents in this California community are left with two other locations:

  • 2245 South Shore Center, Alameda, CA
  • 1216 Fitzgerald Drive, Pinole, CA

Each remaining location is about 30 minutes away, leaving customers to travel considerably further to shop.

“Nooooo I love having an Ulta so close,” one customer said on an Instagram post by @evilleeye.

“We were just there on Saturday and had no idea. This sucks,” another said.

“I heard other stores are closing throughout the state,” a third warned Ulta fans.

Other shoppers called out this location’s closing as a part of a larger issue in the San Fransico area.

“I just moved back to the bay from Louisiana….the longer I’m here the more I’m realizing I should have stayed down South,” lamented one customer on Facebook.

Another individual pointed to specific issues plaguing the community.

“The Bay Area is turning into a wasteland when it comes to homelessness and commercial businesses shutting down,” they wrote.

They further explained different factors playing into business closures in the area in response to an opposing commenter.

“Many of the businesses which have been operational for decades can no longer be open for business due to a variety of reasons, including inflation, crime and attracting trustworthy and qualified employees,” they said.

“Moreover, your response did not address the homeless crisis turning the Bay Area into a wasteland which it clearly is.”

A popular Italian restaurant now announces an unexpected closure after nine years in business, according to an email sent to customers.

Italian Eatery, located in south Minneapolis, Minnesota, told its long-time customers that it planned to shut its doors.

The beloved restaurant, also known as ie, also plans to close its sister restaurant un dito, known for its Sicilian seaside street food, per The US Sun.

They have not announced a closing date but are expected to close between late May and mid-June, according to Bring Me The News.

“As we prepare to close our doors at ie and un dito, we’d like to extend a heartfelt invitation for you to join us for our final months of service,” an email to customers from Carrara $ Co. read.

“Gather with us at the table and let us reminisce over the incredible memories we’ve created together and cherish the moments shared over the past nine years.”

Italian Eatery has been a popular spot since its opening in 2016 and is known for its full-service drinks and dining near Lake Nokomis.

Un dito is a 400-square-foot space that specializes in sips and snacks or afternoon gatherings like you would see in Italy, according to its website.

The restaurant’s “Last Supper” reservations will be released every week and shared in weekly newsletters, according to its website.

“As always, we will continue to reserve walk-in tables at both ie + un dito for our beloved neighborhood,” the announcement read, according to the outlet.

Carrara & Co. also owns due, a focacceria and Italian market in St. Paul, Minnesota that the company calls “Italian Eatery’s spawn, aka quirky little brother,” according to its website.

Despite the Minneapolis closures, due will remain open.

“I’m pleased to inform you that all other Carrara & Co operations remain unaffected, including Due Focacceria, and we are even expanding our services,” according to a statement, reported by NBC affiliate KARE.
