  1. Who didn’t see prepaid like these banks were going to turn out bad. Stick to regular local banks you can walk into and have a track record. spread 1/3 to 2 banks and 1 credit union. then its harder to be screwed.

  2. I closed my prepaid credit card account and bank account 2 yrs ago and still haven’t received my refund of 222.63, it’s the Go2bank by green dot , when i call they usually hang up or put on hold and never answer again, or cant find my account, they still send me monthly statements even thou i don’t have any accounts with them, it’s just a big scam

  3. I’m going through the same thing with green dot it’s been 6 weeks now that they freeze my account $650.00 going through hell on phone being hung up on..

    1. That’s just ridiculous — I’m sorry to hear that, Kenneth. I hope you and others are able to get your money back. This is an injustice.

  4. My friend had this happen during covid all green dot would say was that they weren’t giving him his money back it was over three thousand dollars. I had worked for almost 20 years at a bank and knew what they were doing was illegal. We first sent certified letters requesting return of his funds they went unanswered. Eventually we reached out to the Attorney General and FDIC and once Green Dot was contacted by them they reached out to my friend telling him it was all a misunderstanding and that it was a computer glitch and that they would over night him a check for his balance which they did however they also told him he could never have another green dot account because of him going to AG and FDIC, not that he would want one. The entire process took about 5 months but we didn’t give up and eventually got his money but he did lose his place to live in the meantime because he couldn’t pay rent or bills while they kept his money hostage. I think they do that hoping people give up trying and they have their money on deposit

      1. My husband & I are going through this exact same thing but we are dealing with credit karma & their bank mvb & now its affected his payroll from his job & we’re completely froze out of 3 months of his hard earned money & he’s had to leave that job & have labor board & AG & now local state reps to look into everything & our family with 2 children are being evicted Monday so please everyone pray for our family that this gets resolved for us asap & this LLC that owns the building we rent a lil apartment from doesn’t put us out on the street with a cop telling us we have to return their property & a very angry 4yr old child & a 15yr old child that doesn’t understand what is going on. Also we’ve got a new bank & this Credit Karma will not release my husband’s payroll deposits to new account. C.K. is purposely holding up these simple routing numbers & now my family’s lives are suffering.

        1. The federal gov’t has a watchdog agency called “The Consumer Financial Protection Bureau”, established under Pres. Obama. & promoted by Elizabeth Warren, Senator from Mass. who pushed the bill, or whatever it took to bring it about, thru Congress. This Bureau has more than watchdogs. They have BULLdogs. From what I’ve read, they put teeth with their bark. They must have a website, I’m sure. Email will get the fastest results. Ordinary citizens working as civil servants at that bureau will likely give priority to these cases, especially since so many American families are affected by banks, our money-handlers, which have turned into money-stranglers. Thank God for platforms like FrankNez!!
          Good luck!

        2. I’m sorry to hear that, Eric. I know many of us will keep you and your family in our thoughts. I really wish that this gets resolved for you. God bless.

  5. With a far left progressive administration and uncontrollable spending. Who really believes that their money is safe. Keeping cash under the mattress sounds appropriate.
