Trump now wants to cut energy costs by a whopping 50%, pledging a ‘massive change’ in production and manufacturing if elected.
Former President Donald Trump announced on earlier this week that he would aim to reduce “the cost of energy in half” by implementing significant changes in energy production and manufacturing if he is re-elected.
In an event designed to counter the Democratic National Convention happening in Chicago this week, Trump delivered a 54-minute speech at the Precision Components Group in York, Pennsylvania, a facility known for producing components for projects like the Hoover Dam and Seawolf-class nuclear submarines, as well as for laboratories such as Los Alamos National Lab.
Speaking to a few hundred invited guests and employees, Trump primarily focused on energy and the economy, occasionally diverging from these themes.
At one point, he declared that he would tell Democratic presidential candidate Kamala Harris, “you’re fired,” echoing his famous phrase from The Apprentice.
He warned that a Harris presidency could lead to a “big-league depression” reminiscent of 1929, while asserting that changes in energy production would drive economic growth.
Trump expressed his goal of cutting energy costs by 50% within his first year in office.
To achieve this, he stated he would eliminate mandates related to electric vehicles and dismantle regulatory policies associated with “green energy.”
He emphasized that these changes in energy production would be key to fostering economic growth.

Trump now says Dems. left $85 billion worth of military equipment to the Taliban, naming it one of the most embarrassing moments of the US.
“Three years ago, Kamala’s and Biden’s incompetence left 13 dead warriors, hundreds of civilians killed and grievously wounded, and $85 billion worth of the finest military equipment on the planet abandoned to the Taliban,” Trump said on X, formerly known as Twitter.
“She [Kamala] said it led to a catastrophe, but it was worth it.
The incompetence and weakness on display from the Biden-Harris administration was an insult to every soldier, airmen, and marine, who ever served in our US military.
As we mark this horrible occasion, we mourn with the families of the great American heroes who lost their lives three years ago and we vow to never forget the supreme sacrifice they made for our country.
America cannot afford four more years of Kamala Harris in the White House.
She is a disaster; she’s a radical Marxist.
She destroyed San Francisco…native California — she ran against crooked Joe Biden and she lost, she was the first one out.
Out of 22 people she was the first one to quit.
Under my leadership the nation will be strong and respected like never before, and I will keep America safe.
I will keep it safer than ever before.
And if I’m not elected, I truly believe you’re gonna end up in World War 3 and you’re gonna end up in a depression.”
