Gas stations are now running out of fuel in Florida as Hurricane Milton approaches the state, per several local news outlets.
Searching for gas and supplies proved challenging yesterday as many grocery stores experienced shortages and numerous gas stations were running low ahead of Hurricane Milton.
On Sunday night, Governor Ron DeSantis announced that a quarter of a million gallons of gasoline had been dispatched across the state, with an additional 315,000 gallons on the way as of Monday.
WINK News reporter Jillian Haggerty was out looking for gas stations that still had fuel available on Monday morning.
Airport-Pulling Road in East Naples emerged as the busiest gas station in the area, with customers filling their tanks despite the absence of red baggies that indicate no fuel.
With rain picking up again in the morning, it’s crucial for those heading to East Naples for gas to remain patient, as the roads can get slick and every pump is occupied.
