A fatality has now been confirmed in an Ontario car crash when a vehicle flipped on Mountain Avenue, just off of the 60 freeway ramp.
CHP CAD logs confirmed the fatality early Monday morning around 1am.
Records show that at approximately 1:18am, the San Bernardino Sheriff’s Office (SBSO) for coroners were called in.
Units arrived at the scene around 12:39am.
The local community was saddened by reports of the scene.
“No one should be informed of the death of a loved one in this way. The hard words, while true, should not be how they are seen,” said one community member on Facebook.
“Father God please wrap your arms around all involved, lord comfort those whom have lost a loved one. May God bless each and every one of you reading this! 🙏 Life is precious, slow down and enjoy it,” lamented another.
Exclusive footage was captured of the scene by the public showing authorities and fire fighters just outside ‘El Pescador’ restaurant.
It is unclear whether the fatality was from the driver or if the driver struck a pedestrian.
