LOCAL NEWS: A threat at Don Lugo High School forces the SWAT to engage after a student filmed armed forces trying to get into a classroom.
Worried parents in the city of Chino, California were notified that the Chino Valley Unified School District has schools on lockdown, including elementary schools Dickson and E.J. Marshall, and Ramona Junior High.
“The Chino Police Department has received a threat to Don Lugo High School.
At this time we do not believe the threat is credible, however; out of an abundance of caution Don Lugo and Chino High have gone into lockdown.
There will be a large police presence at Don Lugo High.
Other District schools have a shelter in place order currently until we can fully resolve the situation.,” Chino PD said on Friday.
“Shortly before lunch today, administrators at Don Lugo High School received a directive from the Chino Police Department to place the campus on lockdown after receiving an unidentified message threatening the safety of students and staff,” CVUSD stated.
