United Airlines announced that all flights from Newark Liberty International Airport to Dubai International Airport have been removed for the upcoming winter.
The reason for the Dubai flight suspensions are due to the ongoing war in Iran. The airline has not flown to DBX since the war first broke out earlier this year in February.
“The US carrier is the largest international airline in the world, with a flight network of 370 destinations globally.
However, it’s nonstop flights from Newark Liberty to DXB will not resume until March 2027,” said Arabian Business.

The US airline has said that customers directly impacted by the cancellation of flights that were originally scheduled between October 24 2026 and March 27 2027, will be offered full refunds.
For long-haul international routes like Newark (EWR) to Dubai (DXB), direct round-trip ticket prices on United Airlines typically fell into these ranges prior to suspension:
Basic Economy / Standard Economy:$950 – $1,600 round-trip (lowest deals around $650 to $800 during off-peak windows).
Premium Plus (Premium Economy):$2,200 – $3,500 round-trip.
United Polaris (Business Class):$5,500 – $9,000+ round-trip ( peak travel dates or last-minute bookings can reach $12,000+).
If you held a ticket during this period that was canceled, your refund will reflect the exact purchase price paid within these typical brackets based on your cabin class.
According to the latest update, which may still change depending on the stability of the Gulf, is that flights will return on March 27, 2027.
That is the day before northern airlines switch to summer schedules.
United will run daily using the 350-seat Boeing 777-300ER. This development comes a few weeks after fellow Emirates partner Air Canada pushed Toronto to DXB flights to 2027.
In the meantime, airlines are staying away from Middle Eastern skies due to the safety of its customers.
