AMC will now donate ticket sales to a fire relief program in efforts to aid those affected by the southern California fires.

The donations will play an important role in prevention and are coming from the FireAid Benefit Concert event, which will be playing across AMC movie theaters.

The FireAid benefit concert will be held at Intuit Dome and Kia Forum on January 30th dedicated to rebuilding communities that have been devastated by wildfires.

Contributions made to FireAid in connection with the FireAid benefit concert and other direct donations will be distributed under the advisement of the Annenberg Foundation and will be distributed for short-term relief efforts and long-term initiatives to prevent future fire disasters throughout Southern California.

The Annenberg Foundation, with decades of philanthropic leadership in our community, including rapid response, will help coordinate a team to direct funds for the greatest impact.

AMC CEO Adam Aron announced on Tuesday that roughly 130 movie theaters will broadcast the live event, which is featuring an array of artists such as Billie Eilish, Lady Gaga, Katy Perry, Peso Pluma, Lil Baby, Red Hot Chili Peppers, No Doubt, and more.

“Don’t forget that this intriguing charity concert will be broadcast live in about 130 AMC theatres across the U.S. on January 30.

100% of our ticket sales for the FireAid benefit concert will be donated for fire relief and prevention efforts in Southern California,” the CEO posted on X.

Other sponsors include Spotify, TikTok, JPMorgan Chase, YouTube, Goldman Sachs, Starbucks, and Kaiser Permanente.

The fires that broke out in southern California left many without homes, also igniting theft amongst those affected.

The death toll by mid January had risen to over two dozen according to local news reports.
