Investors Now Press Trump on The MMTLP Scandal: What’s Next?

Investors are now pressing Trump on the MMTLP scandal after self-regulatory body FINRA issued a rare U3 halt in December of 2022, freezing investors’ money and then delisting the security.

Members of Congress, including former senator now Vice President JD Vance, pursued answers from former SEC Chairman Gary Gensler in a letter that demanded clarity on the events that left Americans, many vets, without access to their money.

Over the years since, veterans have united together to raise concerns about the massive fraud that has been buried by the U.S. government to protect bad actors.

FrankNez broke the story in 2022 but now bigger media personalities in the political space are engaging with the story.

Award-winning investigative journalist Lara Logan (former correspondent for 60 Minutes and chief foreign affairs correspondent for CBS News) is raising awareness to her 1.5 million followers on X.

“Corruption/fraud in the stock market. Time for FINRA, the SEC, and the broker/dealer lobby (FIF) to be held to account for what they have done here. The MMTLP issue affects at least 65,000 investors, including veterans.”

Sean George, a U.S. Marine Corps veteran with over 250,000 followers on X, also known as Beard Vet, is demanding transparency from President Trump and the White House on the matter.

“Thousands of Military Veterans who served our nation had their financial assets stolen without any accountability from Gary Gensler’s SEC or FINRA. To demand full transparency and immediate answers regarding the MMTLP regulatory financial scandal, President Trump, please, sign the letter delivered to White House Chief of Staff Susie Wiles and Others in Your Administration.”

What is this letter George is referring to?

President Donald Trump is now being served a formal letter representing vets and the American people, to help resolute the findings behind the MMTLP scandal.

MMTLP: A Cry on Deaf Ears

In August 2023, retail investors sent over 40,000 letters to congress when the signatures of 15 congress members engaging the SEC about the matter fell on deaf ears.

While a Congressional Research Service acknowledged our journalistic reports, the U.S. government and its financial watch dogs have done nothing to root out the problem.

An SEC official told our anonymous source who wishes not to be named that the agency has been running a bogus investigation to bury the matter.

That’s right, the SEC is protecting the culprits responsible for defrauding investors and our American heroes.

Members of congress have also gone silent on the issue, further fueling long-time speculation of a coverup.

They are:

  1. Pete Sessions
  2. Bill Posey
  3. Bill Huizenga
  4. Ann Wagner
  5. Barry Loudermilk
  6. Alex Mooney
  7. John Rose
  8. Bryan Steil
  9. William Timmons
  10. Ralph Norman
  11. Dan Meuser
  12. Scott Fitzgerald
  13. Mike Flood
  14. Mike Lawler
  15. Andy Ogles

The issue goes beyond the financial markets; this is also a veteran issue.

Executive Order 14147 Grants President Trump Power Over the SEC

President Trump stated, “Veterans carried America’s fate on their shoulders and have earned the nation’s respect and gratitude… Their service in keeping America safe, sovereign, and free is never forgotten.”

Now Veterans are asking the President to perform a full forensic audit on MMTLP under Executive Order 14147, which provides him with the power to oversee the Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC).

While the SEC has historically operated as an independent agency, this specific order explicitly lists the SEC as a target for White House oversight, an effort to end the weaponization of the federal government.

The problem is rooted during the Biden Administration when Gary Gensler took office as lead chairman.

Members of the MMTLP community flocked in droves to Washington to demand answers directly from our regulators.

Anna Trades, revered for her activism in the MMTLP scandal, approached Gensler in D.C., stating:

“I had the opportunity to ask Gary Gensler, some tough questions today. To which he only answered one…he is 💯 aware of the situation regarding MMTLP!.”

In September 2023, Senator Mike Crapo asked Gary Gensler if there was a possibility of naked short selling and fraud within MMTLP.

The former SEC Chairman said he could not disclose any current or possible investigations due to “public protection”.

“It helps protect the public and it helps protect individuals when we don’t bring charges,” said the Chairman at the time of the hearing.

What’s further alarming is other key SEC figures such as Hester Peirce have stated they have no idea what to do about this.

Next Bridge Hydrocarbons CEO, Greg McCabe last month stated:

“In a now infamous recording, SEC Commissioner Hester Peirce said the SEC “does not know what to do” about the
MMTLP and Next Bridge Hydrocarbons situation.

In my opinion meeting directly with the issuer would certainly be a good starting point. Might I also suggest what the SEC ought not to do: please do not treat our Company and our shareholders as mere collateral damage in what appears to be a massive financial crime.”

Trump’s Own DJT Stock Has Suffered from Market Manipulation

Trump’s own DJT stock has suffered from market manipulation and illicit activity from bad actors on Wall Street.

Former Trump Media CEO Devin Nunes said in December 2024 that the company was monitoring naked short selling.

“We continue to investigate it,” Nunes said.

“We’ve notified the SEC, we’ve notified all the government agencies that would matter. We’ve worked closely with congress. Congress continues to I think probe and ask questions.

It’s kind of interesting, they’ve recently, in the recent months or so of the election, we haven’t seen too much weird stuff, so, the way that we knew that there was naked short selling, that’s the issue where shares don’t exist.

We knew that was happening because we turned up on this list where shares were not being delivered so we knew that there had to be the only logical reason for that is that there was naked short selling going on.

So, so far, knock on wood, we’ve been off that list now for a while, so we’re happy about that, but we continue to monitor it because we’re the only company in the country, really, that has virtually no institutional investors.”

Just a month prior to Nunes’s statement, President Donald Trump’s Truth social media platform scorched Citadel’s Ken Griffin for “naked short selling” and “screwing over everyday retail investors at the behest of other corporations”.

“Rather than support our common sense efforts to promote transparency and compliance, Citadel Securities bizarrely targeted our CEO with an unhinged attack. Here’s our response:

“Citadel Securities, a corporate behemoth that has been fined and censured for an incredibly wide range of offenses including issues related to naked short selling, and is world famous for screwing over everyday retail investors at the behest of other corporations, is the last company on earth that should lecture anyone on ‘integrity.’”

With Executive Order 14147, President Donald Trump now has an opportunity to address the MMTLP issue with a firm hand of justice, particularly given his own company’s experience with market alleged manipulation and bad actors.

The Trump Administration cannot continue putting this restless scandal aside.

While the MMTLP issue happened under the Biden administration’s watch, it’s now up to the Trump administration to clean up the mess.

One can only blame the previous administration for so long.

So, What’s Next With MMTLP?

Susie Wiles MMTLP
Susie Wiles MMTLP letter news and updates.

It has been confirmed that White House chief of staff Susie Wiles is involved.

The formal MMTLP letter is making its way up the chain of command.

Respected American vets such as Beard Vet and investigative journalists like Lara Logan are helping raise awareness on the issue.

The formal letter addresses current SEC Chairman Paul Atkins highlighting inquiries on:

  • A full forensic audit inquiry on the MMTLP FINRA U3 halt
  • A close look at how transactions were made between market makers and brokers
  • Outstanding shares held by all financial entities foreign and domestic (investors and vets want this information)
  • and much more.

The letter discusses how the issue at hand is a matter of national financial interest and how veterans are exhausted of being sidelined by U.S. regulators.

For now, veterans see the administration’s lack of action as a way of turning its back on its heroes.

Questions remain unanswered even as FOIA’s reference FINRA and the SEC being aware of fraud in MMTLP prior to the halt and delisting that left over 65,000 shareholders’ money trapped.

As American investors continue seeking transparency and justice, demanding the White House to tend to this matter urgently, it will be vital for the public to continue raising awareness.

Jamie Garcia (@BusyBrands on X), a U.S. Marine Corps veteran is spearheading efforts to have President Trump sign a letter seeking transparency surrounding the MMTLP issue.

“For three and a half years, I did everything by the book — reaching out to state attorneys general, filing SEC complaints, submitting FOIA requests, and pleading with the media to expose the MMTLP injustice,” Garcia said.

“Even though we had then-Senator now-Vice President J.D. Vance cosponsor a letter with Senator Mike Crapo, along with support from over 100 U.S. Representatives, it has been completely ignored.

We cannot let Wall Street and government regulatory agencies look the other way while Wall Street cartels steal from the men and women who served this country, as they did to us.”

The latest MMTLP news continues to be a developing story.
