Ripple Co-Founder will now donate $10m in XRP to Harris after confirming his strong belief in the Democratic presidential candidate.
Chris Larson, co-founder and executive chairman at Ripple believes Kamala Harris is the best candidate for crypto’s future.
He took it to X, formerly known as Twitter, to share his thoughts on the US election.
“It’s time for the Democrats to have a new approach to tech innovation, including crypto.
I believe @KamalaHarris will ensure that American technology dominates the world, which is why I’m donating $10M in XRP in support of her,” the co-founder stated.
Former President Donald Trump has been the more popular candidate for cryptocurrency after announcing a few upcoming projects in the sector.
His proposals to lower taxes all around have also attracted crypto investors seeking to maximize the most out of their capital gains.
While Harris’ stance on crypto has been rather controversial, Ripple CEO has also shared his views on the US election and crypto.
“I respect Chris’ (and everyone’s!) right to support whomever they think is best to lead the U.S.
We need to immediately change course from this administration’s misguided war on crypto.
Ripple will continue to engage with both Democrats and Republicans in the final days of the campaigns (and after the election) to promote pro-crypto policies.
It’s not about party lines; it’s about championing policies that drive blockchain and crypto innovation,” the CEO said on X.
Massachusetts Senate candidate John Deaton has also expressed the positive impact XRP has had in the presidential election campaigns during his debate with Senator Elizabeth Warren.
“I won Lawyer of the Year, Consumer Advocate of the Year, Defender of Freedom Award, because I did it for free and guess what — that crypto billionaire that she’s [Sen. Elizabeth Warren] talking about, that has supported me, just donated millions of this XRP token to Vice President Harris campaign.
If I didn’t do what I did, Sue the SEC on behalf of small retail investors, that donation to your candidate of choice Senator [Warren], would not have happened.
So, madam Vice President, if you’re watching — you’re welcome,” Deaton stated.
