RIVERSIDE, Calif. — A Riverside couple, identified as Miguel Jacobo, 31, and Alma Dominguez, 34, was arrested on July 15, 2025, following a months-long investigation into allegations of child abuse and narcotics trafficking at their home in the 7900 block of Magnolia Avenue.
The investigation, initiated by the Riverside Police Department’s Sexual Assault – Child Abuse Unit (SACA) in mid-May 2025, revealed a disturbing environment where three children were allegedly exposed to physical abuse and dangerous narcotics activities.
The investigation began after Riverside County Child Protective Services received reports of physical abuse against the couple’s three children.
By the time authorities were notified, the children had already been removed from the home and placed in temporary foster care.
As detectives delved deeper, they developed suspicions that the parents were trafficking illegal drugs from the residence.
On July 15, 2025, a search warrant was executed at the Magnolia Avenue home by the Riverside Police Department’s METRO Team and Narcotics Unit.
During the search, authorities seized a significant cache of narcotics, including over 900 grams of suspected heroin, more than 300 grams of cocaine, approximately 155 grams of MDMA (ecstasy), and nearly 200 grams of suspected fentanyl pills.
Additionally, a large sum of cash and packaging materials were recovered, indicating active drug trafficking operations.
Most alarmingly, police noted that the drugs were stored in areas easily accessible to the children, raising concerns that the minors were exposed to both the manufacturing and distribution processes of the narcotics.
Miguel Jacobo faces multiple felony charges, including narcotics violations, child abuse, and child endangerment.
Alma Dominguez has been charged with felony child endangerment.
Both individuals were booked into the Robert Presley Detention Center and are currently being held without bail. The investigation remains ongoing, with the Riverside Police Department stating that no further details are available at this time.
The case has drawn significant attention due to the intersection of child endangerment and drug trafficking, highlighting the dangers posed to vulnerable minors in such environments.
The Riverside Police Department emphasized the severity of the situation in a statement: “The drugs were found in areas easily accessible to the children, and detectives believe the children were also exposed to the manufacturing and distribution of narcotics.”
