Mullen Automotive Resignations Are Rising

Mullen Automotive (NASDAQ:MULN) resignations are rising, not a good sign as the company’s share price continues to tumble.

The company announced that Chief Accounting Officer (CAO) Kerri Sandler resigned on March 6th.

Vice President of Operations Chester Bragado became the new CAO immediately.

With over 20 years of experience, Bragado previously served as Mullen’s executive vice president of operations.

Before that, he held financial, auditing and accounting roles at companies like Sambazon and Loop Media.

Bragado has also served as an external auditor for PriceWaterHouseCoopers (PwC).

“There are no arrangements or understandings between Mr. Bragado and any other person pursuant to which he was appointed to serve as Chief Accounting Officer and Mr. Bragado does not have a direct or indirect material interest in any ‘related party’ transaction required to be disclosed pursuant to Item 404(a) of Regulation S-K,” said Mullen in a Form 8-K.

“There are no family relationships between Mr. Bragado and any director or executive officer of the Company.”

Mullen Automotive News: Auditor Resigns

This announcement comes after Mullen’s auditor resigned this month.

Last week, Daszkal Bolton disclosed that it would resign immediately following a merger with CohnReznick.

Daszkal had been the company’s auditor since 2020.

Mullen did not provide any other reason for the resignation besides the merger.

Meanwhile, Mullen noted that it had engaged RBSM as its new public accountant.

Mullen Automotive has had many positive developments this year but its resignations are raising concerns.

The Brea, California-based company reported a net loss before accrued preferred dividends and non-controlling interest of $378.46 million for the three months ended Dec. 31.

MULN is currently down more than -57% this year-to-date.

7 Analysts had given the company a price target of $24.15 per share earlier this year but only 1 analyst is now giving the company a target of $23.

MULN stock is trading at $0.13 at the moment.

Hitting $1 per share is one of the biggest concerns for shareholders right now.

Mullen Automotive Avoids Getting Delisted

Mullen Automotive News Today: MULN stock avoids getting delisted.

Mullen Automotive avoided getting delisted after it failed to meet its $1 per share requirement on March 6, 2023.

Nasdaq approved a 180-day extension for Mullen Automotive to meet the minimum $1 bid price per share.

On Sept. 7, 2022, Nasdaq provided notice to the Company that, based on the previous 30 consecutive business days, the Company’s listed common stock no longer met the minimum $1 bid price per share requirement as set forth in Nasdaq Listing Rule.

The Company was provided 180 calendar days, or until March 6, 2023, to regain compliance.

If Mullen stock fails to trade above $1 for a minimum of 10 consecutive business days prior to Sept. 5, 2023, the Company will implement a reverse stock split to cure the Deficiency prior to the expiration of the additional 180-day compliance period.

“Consistent with my message to our shareholders, we will use our best efforts to regain compliance to meet Nasdaq’s requirement for a $1 minimum bid price,” said David Michery, CEO and chairman of Mullen Automotive.

Nasdaq Reports 0.18% APE Institutional Ownership

APE institutional ownership
Market News: Latest APE institutional ownership report.

Nasdaq’s latest report on APE is showing the security only has 0.18% in institutional ownership.

AMC’s Preferred Equity was recently listed on Yahoo Finance’s ‘Top Most Shorted Stocks List‘.

The stock has had an insane amount of demand in the market from retail investors, but overleveraged shorting has suppressed the stock’s price from rising.

APE has fallen below $1 despite above average daily trading volume.

But institutional ownership has also largely declined according to the latest Nasdaq report.

And with AMC Entertainment selling APE shares through Citigroup, holders of the equity keep getting hammered.

Here’s the latest on APE.

New and Sold Out APE Positions

According to Nasdaq, there are only 8 new institutional positions in APE with 298 total sold out positions.

This is equivalent to 327,046 institutional shares added versus 145.5 million shares sold.

Out of 13 institutions holding APE, 4 remained unchanged.

This means retail investors have very little help from institutions in driving the share price up.

Nearly all institutions who received APE through AMC have sold it.

AMC Entertainment capitalized from APE in October when it was able to claim $106 million and pay down some debt.

Not even insiders are buying the equity.

But AMC shareholders are convinced that APE’s high short interest mixed with large buying pressure will trigger an APE short squeeze.

Does APE Need Institutional Buyers to Squeeze?

I’d love to hear your opinion on this.

The past has shown us that both retail and institutional investors moved AMC Entertainment stock to higher highs in 2021.

Retail investors were able to successfully instill confidence in institutions as AMC’s share price began to rise.

Or is APE’s major decline simply a factor from this year’s bear market?

Bear Market Becomes Official: How Long Will It Last?

Bear Market Official
The stock market officially enters a bear market, but how long will it last?

We momentarily entered an official bear market when the S&P 500 fell 20% for the third time.

The stock market rallied today with the SPY and NASDAQ up almost 2%.

Media seems to be in denial, but bear rallies turned into a bear market a while ago, without the official title.

And although today seems to be a green day – the question is, how long will this bear market last for?

Let’s discuss it below.

Stocks have tumbled all year

Taking a look at the SPY (S&P 500), and we’ll find that the index is down 17% year-to-date.

The top 500 companies in this index have also been down trending all year.

Tech companies have taken a heavy hit this year.

And the NASDAQ shows it.

The NADAQ is down more than 27% this year-to-date.

Netflix (NFLX) is down almost 69%, Tesla (TSLA) is down 44%, and Apple (AAPL) stock 22%.

Hedge funds deeply invested in tech companies have suffered big losses this year already.

The Tiger Cubs are a group of hedge fund managers who are currently treading in dangerous waters.

These asset managers are ditching many positions creating massive selloffs, according to SEC filings.

Stocks rebounded today – how long will these bear rallies last?

The stock market bounces back

The stock market has momentarily bounced back staying clear from bear market territory.

SPY stock seems to be making its way back to the $400 per share level.

I’ve mentioned in previous articles and videos that the SPY seems to be respecting the $400 per share level relatively well.

Although stocks officially entered bear market territory, it’s very possible the SPY and market in general are bottoming out.

Stocks have seen all-time lows during these bear rallies but have since come up from these surprising lows.

Robinhood (HOOD) hit a low around $8 and change, now it’s trading above $10 again.

AMC Entertainment reached $9 and change, went back up to $13, and is currently trading close to $12.

GME stock on the other hand seems to have a hard time getting below $90.

The stock rose to $100 per share last week and is currently trading at $96 per share after it announced the launch of its new crypto and NFT wallet.

Honestly, it’s a 50/50

I stated in a recent video that because we have seen mainly bear rallies all year long, it’s possible the SPY breaks downwards below $400 per share and we continue to see this downtrend.

Well, that happened last week, and we were officially, but momentarily, in a bear market.

Today we saw a small bounce back staying clear from that title.

But it’s still unclear whether the market has bottomed out yet or if there’s still room for stocks to fall.

Have the markets cooled off?

Is the market ready for a reversal?
