#1. Earn money from home with YouTube

YouTube is an amazing platform from which you can begin to make money from home. Though it won’t be an instant way to earn money it will certainly be worth it once you’ve monetized your YouTube channel.

This is a non-linear way of earning money from home meaning you don’t have to put in the work multiple times to earn money. This type of leverage income allows you to create something once and earn money from home multiple times over.

Earn money from home with YouTube

The cool thing about YouTube is that you can make videos on just about anything and work towards creating a source of passive income when you’ve grown your channel.

Once your YouTube channel has been monetized, your videos will earn you money from ads no matter where you are in the world.

It is also essential to create engaging YouTube thumbnail to attract viewers.

This means a video you created months back can earn you money every day, of every month, of every year! As long as the topic is relevant in some way, shape or form, your content will always be viewed.

How much money can I make from home with YouTube?

YouTube has no ceiling. You can make infinite money with YouTube as long as your videos generate views.

Once you’ve monetized your YouTube channel you’ll want to keep producing content to further scale your channel.

how to make money online

I created a YouTube channel because I know I want to provide further value to my readers there eventually. I want you to see me and I want us to have that personal and visual connection.

As of April 2021, I published my first video for an investing community I’m involved in. I thanked them for supporting the blog and sharing my posts within the community. It meant so much that I just had to express my gratitude.

I have a ton of ideas written down of what I’m going to accomplish with this channel. If you want to see this journey come to fruition, then subscribe to the channel here. You won’t regret it.

How do you monetize a YouTube channel?

In order to monetize a YouTube channel you’re required to have at least 1,000 subscribers and 4,000 hours of total watch time within 12 months.

While this may seem like a lot of work, the freedom that comes with it is certainly worth it.

If you have a YouTube channel you’re trying to grow leave it in the comment section below so I can subscribe and show some support!

#2. Create a blog using Bluehost

Another great way to make money from home is to create a blog using Bluehost. Blogging is such a carefree side hustle. I enjoy every moment of it and don’t see myself ever stopping.

This is why blogging is now my 24/7 full-time job.

That’s right. Blogging has allowed me to quit my 9-5 and work from anywhere I choose. Sometimes it’s surreal.

I strongly believe everyone should start a blog. Why? Because you have some sort of knowledge or expertise others don’t. This means you can provide valuable insight and information by publishing blog posts on the internet that others can find extremely helpful.

#3. Earn money from home by renting your property

Make money from home with rental income. Rent your extra bedroom or backhouse to make easy money every month.

Earn money from home by renting your property

Rent from your tenant(s) guarantees monthly earnings for the use of space you are not using.

This form of passive income does not require much maintenance and is usually a pretty straight forward process. Relay the rules to your tenant and write up terms for your records.

Depending on which state you live in, you can charge $400-$800 for rent every month. $1,000+ in some areas.

House Hacking

Learn to house hack by having more than one or two tenants essentially pay for the mortgage.

You don’t technically make money from home this way, but you live in your home for free which means you can use your money to save and invest it in other assets.

Consider using Airbnb

Airbnb allows you to rent your property for a few nights to people who are looking to stay in that particular area of your city.

This hotel like service draws hundreds of dollars per night and in most cases can even pay itself if you’re still financing it.

I’ll leave the link to Airbnb’s website home page here.

#6. Pick up a commission based sales position

Commission bases sales position

Earn money from home through a commission based sales position. You can make a sales career from many industries including marketing, tech, and health.

Commission rates can range from 5% being the lowest to 40% being the highest.

The cool thing about taking up a commission based sales position is that you have the liberty of working in the comfort of your home or while you’re on the move!

Why commission only based positions are amazing

While I don’t have a 9-5 anymore, I do have a commission only based sales position in another business.

I built my clientele over the period of 5 years before going 100% commission with no base salary. Although this may sound scary at first, I now have the time to work on my blog full-time as well as continue to grow my other online startups.

Because I already have a clientele, all I do now is quote and close projects every day. I can be doing this from home or from the beach. This position compensates me monthly.

#7. Start your own online business and make money from home

start your own online business

Starting your own online business has many benefits. Not only are you your own boss but you have the opportunity to creatively make money from home in the niche of your choice.

When I created my first online business it generated on average $20 per month. Although it’s not enough to cover big expenses, it was certainly enough to pay for my streaming services passively without the need of my using my earned income from my 9-5 during that time. It was my first successful startup and now plays a different role which brings a ton of traffic to my blog!

Another startup earned me on average $2K per month all year. This is an online business I’m working on scaling today as well. And yes, this was all done from home. The link below is going to walk you through on how you too can start a thriving online business.

Starting an online business will be your best bet to leaving that 9-5. This will highly depend on how much you commit to scaling it.

Kinsta Versus Bluehost: Which One Is Better For Blogging?

Kinsta versus Bluehost

I’m excited to publish this blog post today. See, I love to help people and provide my readers with magnitudes of value. I used Bluehost for a year and five months but have recently made the change to Kinsta.

Both are great web host providers in their own respect. If you’re ready to start your website or blog but are conflicted with which webhost provider is for you, then you’ve come to the right place.

I’m going to help you identify which of these two is best tailored for your needs.

franknez.com

Welcome to Franknez.com – the blog where you can digest content on personal finance, side hustle ideas, entrepreneurship, and trending investing topics.

Lets get started.

8,496 views first year blogging

The reason I started blogging in the first place is because I felt like I had secrets that I just couldn’t keep to myself. There was no place in the internet that was showing our generation how to invest their money or how to earn passive income.

I was multiplying my money and wanted to teach my readers just how easy it was to start. For example, a lot of the mumbo jumbo online was rather intimidating to read and provided very little value to the average person wanting to learn how to invest in stocks.

So I took it upon myself to teach people how to do this in simple format. One of my goals was to earn 10,000 views my very first year blogging. Instead, I earned 8,496.

To some novice bloggers this might be a lot of views and to others it might be a few. The important thing is that you set goals for your blog and take action every day to meet those goals.

I used Bluehost my first year blogging

Bluehost

After doing some deep research, I opted for Bluehost my first year of blogging. Bluehost was attractive for its:

  • Easy-to-use design
  • Integration with WordPress
  • And most importantly, how affordable it was

These three factors are something I personally valued. Especially as a new blogger with absolutely no experience.

Bluehost is very simple to navigate and never felt intimidating to use at all. One thing you’re going to love about Bluehost is that they have 24/7 assistance and are able to answer any questions whenever you need it.

How much does Bluehost cost?

Aside from being the number one recommended webhost provider by WordPress, Bluehost is amongst the most affordable. For only $2.95 a month you can publish your very first blog post as soon as today.

I needed something affordable when I first began blogging. Bluehost was the perfect choice for me starting out.

In fact, when I had to leave Bluehost I was rather annoyed. I really didn’t want to leave Bluehost but once my blog began to scale, I had to make a different move. That’s when I opted for Kinsta.

Why did I switch to Kinsta?

Kinsta

I was blogging with Bluehost for a year and five months before switching to Kinsta. Some time around February of 2021 my blog began to really grow. By May, Bluehost couldn’t handle my traffic anymore.

Franknez.com was generating easily over 100k views per month by April. It was around the 300k views per month area where I began to see issues with my website.

That’s when I had to make the tough decision to leave Bluehost and switch over to Kinsta. And because my blog has been steadily growing, switching to Kinsta was one of the greatest decisions I could have made to continue scaling my website.

I have a plan with Kinsta where it allows me to reach one million visitors per month right now with no issues. Why so much slack? Because my goal is to provide millions of people all around the world with value. Franknez is about to hit the 1 million mark 🎉.

Was the transition from Bluehost to Kinsta easy?

To my surprise, the entire transition from Bluehost to Kinsta was very easy. Like Bluehost, Kinsta also has 24/7 support therefore made it very convenient to communicate with should I needed to.

I was happy to find out I could keep the same theme for my blog too! Another perk of Kinsta is that it they migrate your website over for free.

Is Kinsta better than Bluehost?

Kinsta has a lot of advantages over Bluehost. Some of which include:

  • 26 data center, Bluehost has 5
  • All of Kinsta’s plans include FREE CDN and premium DNS
  • Plans all include free daily backups
  • Kinsta is built for performance and scalability

Overall, Kinsta truly is built for speed and scalability. Kinsta is my current choice due to how much my blog is currently growing.

By now you’re more than likely beginning to realize that Bluehost is for you if you’re just starting out. On the other hand, Kinsta is for you if you’re looking to take your blog to the next level.

I wanted to share my story with you so that it would be easy for you to identify the times where I used both and how they served me in my journey.

Kinsta vs Bluehost

When it comes to price, Bluehost is the winner. While you may start with a basic package from Kinsta ($30/mo.) from the get go, Bluehost is still much affordable for beginners. And if they were able to handle my traffic, I would have never switched web host providers. They’re seriously that good.

On the other hand, if you value performance and scalability then Kinsta is the way to go. Thanks to Kinsta, my website is now quicker than ever. This is very important to me because users in general tend to love lightning quick services.

Scalability is my top priority. My goal since day one is to provide value to millions of people around the globe and Kinsta allows me to do so without any issues.

And lastly . . .

If you found value in this post be sure to give it a social share and follow the blog. Although majority of my content is geared towards finance and entrepreneurship, I also love to guide other bloggers looking to grow their online business.
