In a heartbreaking event early Sunday, tragedy unfolded in Riverside as deputies from the San Jacinto Sheriff’s Station responded to a violent assault on the 1800 block of Normandy Court.
The call came in at approximately 1:11 a.m., setting in motion a series of events that would leave the community in shock.

Upon arrival, deputies discovered a male adult suffering from severe injuries.
Despite their efforts, he was pronounced dead at the scene, as confirmed by the Riverside County Sheriff’s Office.

In addition to the adult victim, a juvenile was transported to a local hospital with a gunshot wound.
Fortunately, his injuries were classified as non-life-threatening.
