UPDATE: The driver of the Chino home roof car crash is in critical condition with passengers said to have sustained multiple injuries.
The mother of one of the passengers says her son is “lucky to be alive”.
A car crashed onto the roof of a home in Chino early Tuesday morning while the homeowners were asleep.
The vehicle lost control on a street behind the house, flew over a canal, and landed on the back of the roof.
The impact was so strong that it caused a second-story wall to collapse, creating a large hole.
Fortunately, the homeowners were shaken but unharmed.
However, the latest updates on the crash aren’t so fortunate for the driver or the passengers involved in the car accident.
Our community notes show that a mother, whose name will be omitted for privacy, has described more details of the aftermath.
“I seen some cruel comments about the boys involved in the car that flew on the roof of a house in Chino[.]
My son was one of the passengers.
He has a broken back, fractured ribs, swelling in his head, and he’s lucky to be alive…
Two other boys have similar injuries.. the driver is critical…
I pray for everyone’s families involved, especially the young man in critical condition.. and also for the homeowners of the home, let’s all do the same.”
The community was shocked, taking it to social media to share their thoughts on the incident Tuesday morning.
I feel bad for the kids parents honestly…. they gonna have a big debt to pay and for the family who’s house is damaged the holidays are around the corner and I pray their house is fixed by then. ,” one Facebook user said.
The home has been labeled as red-tagged, indicating the property is not safe for occupancy at the moment.
