LOCAL NEWS: A car crashed into the roof of a Chino, California home while the owners were in bed sleeping early Tuesday morning.
A car crashed onto the roof of a home in Chino early Tuesday morning while the homeowners were asleep.
The vehicle lost control on a street behind the house, flew over a canal, and landed on the back of the roof.
The impact was so strong that it caused a second-story wall to collapse, creating a large hole.
Fortunately, the homeowners were shaken but unharmed.
One woman described the experience, saying, “It sounded like a plane drove through our house… It’s just devastating.”
She reported seeing four young individuals, likely in their 20s, exit the car.
Prior to the crash, she mentioned that a car had been doing donuts on the street behind their home.
“Kids do like to do donuts back there… and we heard a lot of that tonight,” she said.
“I didn’t think the car would fly through our house.”
All four occupants of the car survived.
However, they sustained serious injuries according to CBS update report.
It appears that the car may have been speeding southbound on San Antonio Avenue, where the street ends, and is met by a retaining wall, which may have launched the car.
The community was shocked, taking it to social media to share their thoughts on the incident.
“That is soooo crazy!!!
I feel bad for the kids parents honestly…. they gonna have a big debt to pay and for the family who’s house is damaged the holidays are around the corner and I pray their house is fixed by then. ,” one Facebook user said.
The home has been labeled as red-tagged, indicating the property is not safe for occupancy at the moment.
