LOCAL NEWS: 3 people stabbed in Glendale have now been hospitalized with authorities investigating whether road rage was involved.
In a troubling turn of events, two separate stabbings in Glendale on Sunday night resulted in four individuals being injured, with three of them requiring hospitalization.
The incidents occurred within a short span of 20 minutes, raising concerns about community safety.
The first stabbing was reported at approximately 7:44 PM, near the intersection of Dryden Street and San Rafael Avenue.
While details remain somewhat sparse, early reports suggest that a brawl broke out in the street involving an unknown number of individuals.
During this altercation, three people were stabbed.
Authorities are currently investigating the possibility that road rage may have played a role in the incident.
Following the attack, the suspect fled the scene, and all three victims were transported to the hospital with minor injuries.
As the investigation continues, police have not yet released any descriptions of the suspect involved in the first stabbing, leaving the community on edge regarding the perpetrator’s identity and whereabouts.
Just 19 minutes later, at around 8:03 PM, a second stabbing occurred in the 100 block of Windsor Road.
According to police reports, a man, who may have been under the influence of substances, was loitering in the area when a group of men confronted him and asked him to leave.
The situation escalated quickly, and in the ensuing conflict, the man allegedly stabbed one of the individuals who had asked him to vacate the area.
Authorities have not disclosed the specific details that led to this violent confrontation, but they have confirmed that the suspect was detained and taken into custody shortly after the incident.
The identity of this individual has not been released by the police at this time.
Fortunately, the victim of the second stabbing sustained only minor injuries and declined transport to the hospital, which indicates that the injuries may not have been severe.
However, the occurrence of two stabbings in such a short timeframe has left residents concerned about safety in the area.
Police are actively investigating both incidents and are urging anyone with information to come forward. As the situation develops, updates will be provided to the public, emphasizing the importance of community awareness and cooperation in ensuring safety.
The Glendale Police Department remains committed to resolving these cases and addressing any underlying issues contributing to such violent behavior in the community.
