Kinsta versus Bluehost

I’m excited to publish this blog post today. See, I love to help people and provide my readers with magnitudes of value. I used Bluehost for a year and five months but have recently made the change to Kinsta.

Both are great web host providers in their own respect. If you’re ready to start your website or blog but are conflicted with which webhost provider is for you, then you’ve come to the right place.

I’m going to help you identify which of these two is best tailored for your needs.

Lets get started.

8,496 views first year blogging

The reason I started blogging in the first place is because I felt like I had secrets that I just couldn’t keep to myself. There was no place in the internet that was showing our generation how to invest their money or how to earn passive income.

I was multiplying my money and wanted to teach my readers just how easy it was to start. For example, a lot of the mumbo jumbo online was rather intimidating to read and provided very little value to the average person wanting to learn how to invest in stocks.

So I took it upon myself to teach people how to do this in simple format. One of my goals was to earn 10,000 views my very first year blogging. Instead, I earned 8,496.

To some novice bloggers this might be a lot of views and to others it might be a few. The important thing is that you set goals for your blog and take action every day to meet those goals.

I used Bluehost my first year blogging

Bluehost

After doing some deep research, I opted for Bluehost my first year of blogging. Bluehost was attractive for its:

  • Easy-to-use design
  • Integration with WordPress
  • And most importantly, how affordable it was

These three factors are something I personally valued. Especially as a new blogger with absolutely no experience.

Bluehost is very simple to navigate and never felt intimidating to use at all. One thing you’re going to love about Bluehost is that they have 24/7 assistance and are able to answer any questions whenever you need it.

How much does Bluehost cost?

Aside from being the number one recommended webhost provider by WordPress, Bluehost is amongst the most affordable. For only $2.95 a month you can publish your very first blog post as soon as today.

I needed something affordable when I first began blogging. Bluehost was the perfect choice for me starting out.

In fact, when I had to leave Bluehost I was rather annoyed. I really didn’t want to leave Bluehost but once my blog began to scale, I had to make a different move. That’s when I opted for Kinsta.

Why did I switch to Kinsta?

Kinsta

I was blogging with Bluehost for a year and five months before switching to Kinsta. Some time around February of 2021 my blog began to really grow. By May, Bluehost couldn’t handle my traffic anymore.

Franknez.com was generating easily over 100k views per month by April. It was around the 300k views per month area where I began to see issues with my website.

That’s when I had to make the tough decision to leave Bluehost and switch over to Kinsta. And because my blog has been steadily growing, switching to Kinsta was one of the greatest decisions I could have made to continue scaling my website.

I have a plan with Kinsta where it allows me to reach one million visitors per month right now with no issues. Why so much slack? Because my goal is to provide millions of people all around the world with value. Franknez is about to hit the 1 million mark 🎉.

Was the transition from Bluehost to Kinsta easy?

To my surprise, the entire transition from Bluehost to Kinsta was very easy. Like Bluehost, Kinsta also has 24/7 support therefore made it very convenient to communicate with should I needed to.

I was happy to find out I could keep the same theme for my blog too! Another perk of Kinsta is that it they migrate your website over for free.

Is Kinsta better than Bluehost?

Kinsta has a lot of advantages over Bluehost. Some of which include:

  • 26 data center, Bluehost has 5
  • All of Kinsta’s plans include FREE CDN and premium DNS
  • Plans all include free daily backups
  • Kinsta is built for performance and scalability

Overall, Kinsta truly is built for speed and scalability. Kinsta is my current choice due to how much my blog is currently growing.

By now you’re more than likely beginning to realize that Bluehost is for you if you’re just starting out. On the other hand, Kinsta is for you if you’re looking to take your blog to the next level.

I wanted to share my story with you so that it would be easy for you to identify the times where I used both and how they served me in my journey.

Kinsta vs Bluehost

When it comes to price, Bluehost is the winner. While you may start with a basic package from Kinsta ($30/mo.) from the get go, Bluehost is still much affordable for beginners. And if they were able to handle my traffic, I would have never switched web host providers. They’re seriously that good.

On the other hand, if you value performance and scalability then Kinsta is the way to go. Thanks to Kinsta, my website is now quicker than ever. This is very important to me because users in general tend to love lightning quick services.

Scalability is my top priority. My goal since day one is to provide value to millions of people around the globe and Kinsta allows me to do so without any issues.

And lastly . . .
