The Hayward Police Department is currently investigating the city’s 14th homicide of 2024, following a tragic shooting that took place late Saturday night.
The incident occurred around 11:45 p.m. at an industrial complex located in the 25000 block of Industrial Boulevard.
Upon receiving reports of a shooting, police officers promptly arrived at the scene and discovered a male victim suffering from multiple gunshot wounds.
Emergency medical personnel were called to the scene, and the victim was transported to a nearby hospital for urgent care.
Unfortunately, despite medical efforts, the victim later succumbed to his injuries and was pronounced dead at the hospital.
Authorities have not released the victim’s identity, pending notification of his next of kin.
As of now, police have not made any arrests and do not have any suspects in custody.
The investigation is ongoing, and law enforcement officials are working diligently to gather more information about the circumstances surrounding the shooting.
