Arrests now made in murder of Riverside man in Bloomington after investigators worked diligently to gather evidence in identifying suspects.
Authorities have arrested two suspects in connection with the murder of 19-year-old Rene Isordia from Riverside, as confirmed by the San Bernardino County Sheriff-Coroner Department.
This development follows an extensive investigation into the tragic events that unfolded in November 2024.
Incident Overview
On November 17, 2024, deputies from the Fontana Sheriff’s Station responded to a distress call reporting a man lying unresponsive in the 12800 block of Holly Street.
Upon arrival, they found Isordia deceased, showing signs of multiple injuries.
The nature of the injuries raised immediate concerns, prompting a thorough investigation to uncover the circumstances surrounding his death.
Investigation and Suspects
Following the incident, investigators worked diligently to gather evidence and identify potential suspects.
Their efforts led to the identification of two individuals: a 16-year-old male from Fontana and 25-year-old Adam Gutierrez from Redlands.
Gutierrez was taken into custody on December 5, 2024.
His arrest was facilitated by collaboration with San Bernardino County Probation, initially for a probation violation.
Following this, he was charged with murder under California Penal Code 187.
The younger suspect, the 16-year-old, was apprehended shortly thereafter, on January 2, 2025.
This arrest was made possible with assistance from the Sheriff’s Specialized Enforcement Division.
He has since been placed into the San Bernardino County Juvenile Detention Center, where he is facing murder charges as well.
Ongoing Investigation
Authorities have indicated that the investigation remains active, with more details to be released as they become available.
