A new round of layoffs now hits Florida going into 2025 as more businesses file WARN notices advising of upcoming job cuts.
It’s important to understand that under the Worker Adjustment and Retraining Notification Act, an employer with more than 100 full-time workers must provide a 60-day notice before laying off 50 or more people at a single site.
The most recent layoffs in Florida are beginning this month of November and stretching out all the way to January of 2025.
This year, Florida has had approximately 9,884 WARN layoffs across a total of 171 businesses.
Recently, Kimball Electronics announced plans to lay off 250 employees in Tampa, earning the number one spot with the biggest company layoffs on this list.

- Stryker. 12 job cuts on 1/14/2025.
- MCR Health. 47 job cuts on 11/8.
- Allied Universal. 77 job cuts on 1/9/2025.
- Nidec Motor Corporation dba Control. 76 job cuts on 1/7/2025.
- Kimball Electronics. 250 job cuts on 1/5/2025.
- Dart Industries, Inc. 145 job cuts on 12/31.
- ASMO d/b/a Eulen Aviation. 87 job cuts on 11/30.
- CHG Healthcare Services, Inc. 7 job cuts on 12/31.
- AmeriHealth Caritas. 50 job cuts on 12/31.
- Stryker. 6 job cuts on 12/31.
- DP Holdings Colorado LLC. 113 job cuts on 12/31.
- Stryker. 6 job cuts on 11/30.
- Kaleo, Inc. 4 job cuts on 11/30.
- Mayhew Bestway. 41 job cuts by 11/29.
- Genpact. 60 job cuts by 11/30.
- West Fraser, Inc. 131 job cuts on 11/19.
- FK Irons, Inc. 42 job cuts on 11/18.
- Labcorp. 65 job cuts on 11/22.
